Privacy
Privacy, in plain language.
These apps are built around local processing. Here is what that means for each tool, and where Microsoft Store, network tests or a service you choose can be involved.

This website
This site presents the apps and links to Microsoft Store. Omer uses private, first-party analytics to understand which pages and apps are useful. We record page views, approximate country, device and browser category, referring domain or campaign source, active viewing time, scroll depth and actions such as screenshot opens, support links and Microsoft Store clicks. Fonts, imagery and analytics are served with this site; there are no advertising pixels.
The hosting service processes IP addresses and request information to deliver the site and estimate country. Our analytics database does not store IP addresses, raw browser identifiers, precise location, form contents or full referring URLs. A random identifier links activity on one opened page and is not reused across pages or visits. There are no analytics cookies, persistent visitor identifiers, session recordings or cross-site tracking. Activity is retained on a rolling 90-day basis, and only the website owner can access the dashboard. Counts represent recorded page loads and actions, not identified people, app installs or purchases.
We exclude the signed-in website owner, known bots, and browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Browser blocking and privacy settings can reduce the recorded totals. An optional browser-only preference can turn off measurement for this device; it is not sent to the server. The hosting platform may use its own sign-in cookies for the private owner dashboard.
Microsoft Store links open a Microsoft service. Purchases, licensing, installation, updates and platform diagnostics are governed by the relevant Microsoft policies. App pages show reference prices in USD; Microsoft Store supplies the actual regional offer.
CopySnip
CopySnip stores supported clipboard content and preferences locally. History uses Windows DPAPI protection tied to the current Windows account. File clips store references to files.
The default retention is 365 days and 1 GB, with oldest unpinned clips removed as limits are reached. You can change retention, delete clips, pause recording and use supported exclusions.
The app has no advertising SDK, telemetry upload or clipboard-upload backend. Exported files and the Windows clipboard are not protected by the app’s encrypted-history storage. Microsoft Store handles optional Supporter licensing.
Back to CopySnipPDF Size Helper
Selected PDFs and images are processed locally without a document-processing server. The app has no analytics SDK, remote crash reporting, advertising network or publisher account.
Temporary snapshots, previews and prepared copies are stored in local app data. Cleanup runs when jobs close and retries unused app-owned folders later; locked files can remain temporarily. This is ordinary deletion, not secure erasure.
Themes and saved numeric requirements stay local. Settings offers reset and temporary-file cleanup. An optional diagnostic summary is previewed and exported only by you; it excludes document contents and source paths.
Microsoft Store handles the optional cosmetic Supporter purchase and licensing. Files saved to a cloud-synced folder are subject to that service’s separate processing.
Back to PDF Size HelperNetwork Clarity
Network Clarity reads network configuration and performs ordinary DNS, ICMP and HTTPS connectivity tests. These tests expose your public IP to the contacted services under their own policies; no scan snapshot is uploaded to the publisher.
Scans, history and logs remain on your PC. The app does not collect Wi-Fi passwords, credentials, tokens, browser data or payment details. No publisher account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or telemetry upload is included.
History can be cleared in the app. Reports and sanitized support exports are written only when you choose a destination. Review any file before sharing it. Microsoft Store handles Pro purchases and licenses.
Scanning never changes settings. Repairs require consent, and safety restrictions apply equally to paid users.
Back to Network ClarityMedia Compare & Organize
Media and metadata are analyzed locally. Selected files may include names, full paths, dates, image dimensions and embedded metadata such as GPS coordinates, artist or album tags. Media and GPS data are not sent to online recognition or map services.
Scan indexes, hashes, preferences, saved decisions and operation history stay locally. Operation history can include source and destination paths. Settings lets you clear app records, history and diagnostic logs; clearing records does not undo file operations.
The app has no publisher cloud backend, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or telemetry upload. Diagnostic exports are initiated by you. Online-only placeholders and linked paths are skipped.
Scanning does not alter files. Cleanup requires confirmation and uses the Recycle Bin. Organization copies by default. Microsoft Store handles lifetime Pro licensing and payment; the publisher does not receive card details.
Back to Media Compare & OrganizeDisklane
Disklane reads metadata such as file names, paths and sizes in the local locations you select. Exact duplicate checks read eligible file contents locally. The app does not send your file inventory to a publisher cloud service.
Saved scans, settings and scan comparisons are local. CSV exports and other reports are created only when you choose to export. Treat exported paths and file names as potentially personal.
The two-scan allowance uses encrypted records tied to your Windows account. A small local record of completed-scan count intentionally survives ordinary uninstalling so reinstalling does not reset the allowance. It contains no scanned paths and is not online or cross-device tracking.
There is no advertising, publisher telemetry or cloud scanning backend. Microsoft Store handles Pro licensing and purchases. Scanning is read-only; cleanup requires explicit review and confirmation.
Back to DisklaneStepfolio
Stepfolio captures the selected window or screen after you start a session and stores guides locally with Windows user-bound protection. It does not capture typed keystroke values or clipboard contents. Screenshots themselves can still contain personal information.
Pause or stop recording when sensitive material is visible. Review every step before export. Permanent redaction is flattened into exported screenshots, and exports must be handled according to their contents.
The app’s local capture and editing do not require a publisher cloud-processing account. Microsoft Store independently handles free acquisition, Pro purchases, licensing, installation and updates.
A Windows-user-protected local record counts completed free exports. It is stored outside packaged app data and is intended to survive ordinary uninstalling. The counter is not uploaded to a developer service. Microsoft Store ownership and acquisition dates are checked to determine unlimited-export eligibility.
Portable projects and PDF, DOCX and HTML exports are not encrypted by Stepfolio. Redaction changes the current guide, not separate guides, backups, prior exports or imported copies. It is not a forensic-erasure guarantee.
Drafts and unresolved capture recovery do not automatically expire. Ordinary manifest history retains up to ten revisions within a storage budget. Export preparation can use temporary plaintext copies; completed or canceled jobs are cleaned, and orphaned staging older than 24 hours is removed at startup. Local diagnostics exclude document content and are not automatically uploaded.
Back to StepfolioSupport email and policy changes
If you contact omer2242@gmail.com, the email address, message and attachments you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Email is handled by the email service; do not include secrets or unnecessary personal information. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address.
Keep exported reports and guides only as long as you need them. A file you choose to save to a cloud-synced folder may be uploaded by that separate service. Local processing does not control another service’s behavior.
Material changes to app data practices, such as cloud processing or telemetry, require an updated policy and applicable Store disclosures. Check this page and the app’s Store-linked policy for updates.
