What counts as one of the two free exports?
Each successfully completed PDF, DOCX or HTML export uses one allowance. Exporting the same guide to two formats counts as two exports. The allowance is two completed exports in total per Windows account; canceled or failed exports do not count. It is an export allowance, not a capture or scan limit.
What stays free after the two exports?
Capture, editing, saving, preview and redaction remain available. A one-time Stepfolio Pro purchase unlocks unlimited exports in the same app, with no subscription or watermark.
Do earlier customers need to buy Pro?
Earlier paid-base owners retain unlimited exports. Qualifying Microsoft Store acquisitions before October 1, 2026 at 00:00 UTC, including early free acquisitions, also retain unlimited exports. Eligibility is checked through the Store license and acquisition date.
Does it detect private information automatically?
Do not rely on automatic sensitive-data detection. Review screenshots and text, apply redaction where needed, and inspect the exported guide before sharing.
